Magnetic Position Sensors
In 1968, Honeywell revolutionized the industry with the first solid-state keyboard combining Hall-effect sensing and associated electronics in a single circuit.
These high-speed, extended life sensors are often directly compatible with other electronic circuits, responding to the presence or the interruption of a magnetic field by producing a proportional output.
Today, Honeywell’s line of magnetic sensors includes: Linear and angle sensors ICs Position sensor ICs Speed and direction, speed sensor ICs Value-added packaged sensors Magnets
Linear & Angle Sensor ICs
Analog output Hall-effect or anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) sensor IC’s
Linear sensor ICs operate by proximity to either magnetic pole and provide a continuous voltage output which increases with a strong magnetic field and decreases with a weak magnetic field.
Magnets – MG Series
MG Series Magnets act as actuators for Hall-effect & MR sensor ICs with unipolar or omnipolar magnetic characteristics.
Available in various compact configurations, strengths, and magnetic materials and are intended for use as actuators for Hall-effect and magnetoresistive sensor ICs with unipolar or omnipolar magnetic characteristics.
Bipolar Position Sensor ICs
Bipolar sensor ICs sensors detect the magnetic field from a permanent magnet or electromagnet and respond to alternating poles (North and South).
Latching Position Sensor ICs
Latching sensor ICs latch on to an initial pole (North or South) until a magnetic field of sufficient strength of the opposite polarity is brought near the sensor IC.
Omnipolar Position Sensor ICs
Omnipolar sensor ICs detect the magnetic field from a permanent magnet or electromagnet and respond to either pole (North or South).
Unipolar Position Sensor ICs
Unipolar sensor ICs detect the magnetic field from a permanent magnet or electromagnet and respond to a single pole (North or South).
Speed Sensors ICs
VM Series detect the speed, direction, and position of a ring magnet encoder target. VF401 senses fine pitch ring magnets. VF526DT provides both speed and direction output. VG481V1 detects the speed of a ferrous gear tooth target wheel
