Circuit Protection
Our comprehensive range of industrial circuit protection products including fuses and circuit breakers, is designed to safeguard your critical equipment and ensure uninterrupted operations. Whether you need protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, or short circuits, our circuit protection solutions provide robust and reliable defense for your valuable applications.
When it comes to circuit protection, we rely on some of the globally recognized suppliers. E-T-A has a long experience and wide product range of circuit breakers and devices for overcurrent protection, while MTA delivers reliable and operation-secure fuses for industrial applications.
Circuit Protection for all industrial applications
Circuit protection solutions are found in applications in various industries such as manufacturing, energy and utilities, automotive, aerospace and defense, renewable energy, medical devices, and transportation
För example, in manufacturing environments, circuit protection solutions protect critical machinery and equipment from power surges and voltage fluctuations, preventing costly downtime and equipment damage and defense-grade circuit protection devices are designed to meet stringent requirements, protecting vital electronics in aircraft, satellites, and defence equipment from electrical disturbances and transient events.
We help you to find right circuit protection solution
With our expertise in electrical engineering and deep industry knowledge, we can assist you in choosing the right components for your specific requirements. Our team is dedicated to delivering customized solutions that optimize performance, enhance safety, and minimize downtime. Of course, standard products are also available.
Circuit Breakers
We offer circuit breakers from E-T-A. E-T-A circuit breakers are designed for equipment, component and low voltage wiring protection. Their precision performance characteristics are ideally suited to applications for which other methods of protections are generally inadequate, such as test equipment, control instrumentation, automotive systems and defence equipments.

Electronic Overcurrent Protection
Electronic overcurrent protection from E-T-A prevents dips of the output voltage of switched mode power supplies both in the event of short circuit and overload. At the same time these devices provide selective protection or disconnection. Switching high capacitive loads and indicating a functional error is possible without any problems. Fault indication is by means of LEDs and auxiliary contacts. This helps with trouble-shooting and increases machine run times.
Power Entry Modules
E-T-A’s power entry modules combine up to five functions in a single component: a C14/C20 appliance inlet, resettable overcurrent protection, an ON/OFF switch, a line filter and an optional undervoltage release, remote trip or auxiliary switch.
Compared to standard connector modules with fuses the E-T-A power entry modules are equipped with resettable circuit breakers. After an overcurrent trip they can be reset quickly, reliably and easily. Time-consuming fuse replacement is eliminated. Thanks to screw mounting, E-T-A power entry modules have a firm and robust fit in the housing and can thus withstand even high pull-out forces of power cables without any problems.
Fuses
Fuses are electrical protective devices, making them a little, but a central part of circuit protection. They are made of a thermoplastic shell and a fusible link in Zinc (Zn) or Copper (Cu) alloy. MTA’s fuses are developed according to ISO standards, and their range covers blade and bolt down types.
Fuseholders & Housings
We have a wide variety of fuseholders for both blade fuses and bolt down fuses. Also fuse housings, both universal use fuse housings, multiple holder and housings specifically for vehicles. Waterproofed models are available.

10 Frequently Asked Questions About Circuit Protection
What is circuit protection?
Circuit protection refers to measures taken to safeguard electrical circuits from damage due to overload or short circuits.
Why is circuit protection necessary?
It prevents damage to electrical equipment, reducing downtime and repair costs, and enhances overall safety.
What are the common types of circuit protection?
Common types include fuses, circuit breakers, and surge protectors.
How do I choose the right circuit protection?
Selection depends on the system’s voltage, current specifications, and environmental factors.
What is the difference between a fuse and a circuit breaker?
Fuses must be replaced after acting, whereas circuit breakers can be reset.
Can circuit protection devices be used in any system?
Yes, but they must be correctly rated for the specific voltage and current of the system.
How do surge protectors work?
Surge protectors divert excess voltage away from the connected devices to prevent damage.
What is a GFCI?
A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protects against electric shock by breaking the circuit when imbalance is detected.
Do I need special circuit protection for outdoor equipment?
Outdoor equipment often requires weather-resistant and higher-rated protective devices.
How often should circuit protection devices be tested?
Testing intervals depend on the device type and manufacturer recommendations, but regular testing is advised for safety.
