MPR10 & MPR20

The mechanical power relays MPR10 and MPR20 are electro-mechnanical high current relays.

These relays were designed for the suse in utility vehicles and can switch or carry up to 300A continuous load at 12 and/ or 24 V DC.

A high number of switching cycles at rated load, including capacitive and inductive loads, make these power relays especially suitable for the severe requirements in the utility vehicles.

The main terminals are stud terminals. Various mounting methods allow horizontal or vertical mounting of the relays, including side flange, foot mount, and M4 connectors. This allwes direct replacement of conventional cylindrical relays, but also other flexible fittings. E-T-A’s power relays can replace alla conventional power relays in the market.

MPR10

The single pole power relay MPR10 has been designed for switching high current loads and for disconnecting the battery from the on-board electrical system.

The mechanical power relay type MPR10 is:

The MPR10 is a bistable relay, i.e. a short current impulse is required only for the switching operation. The contact is then held in its position by permanent magnets without current.

MPR10

The MPR20 is a monostable electro-mechanical power relay. Its integral electronic control circuitry helps reduce power consumption in the holding power by the factor 10 compared to standard power relays.

It can both switch and carry 300 A. In the event of a power disruption, the relay will at once go into its original state due to its monostable design. This provides more safety and reliability. Reduction of holding power and of the pull-in power allows direct connection to the controlgear and provides additional cost reduction and environmental advantages despite a monostable design.

By using standard termination technologies and mounting dimensions, the MPR20 can easily and quickly replace conventional relays.
