Midori Precisions Co., Ltd was established in 1952 as a manufacturer of electro-mechanical transducers. Its early products were based on wire-wound potentiometer technology and were designed for precision instrumentation markets.

In 1962, Midori developed a breakthrough technology that enabled the company to launch its precision conductive plastic potentiometers, which became known as Green Pot products. These potentiometers were a significant improvement over their previous designs and offered greater accuracy and reliability.

In 1973, Midori continued to innovate and pioneered another technology: the contactless magneto-resistive potentiometer, which it launched as the Blue Pot product line. This development opened up new possibilities for the company and expanded its product offerings.

In 1994, Midori introduced another breakthrough technology with the launch of its position sensors, known as the Orange Pot product line. These sensors adapted the Hall Effect IC as the sensing element and significantly improved key functions and cost efficiency.

Today, Midori continues to lead the industry by focusing on the development of its Digital Sensor/Encoder product line, which helps the company maintain its position as a global leader and expand its customer base.
